It is not intended to be a fully-comprehensive dictionary of japanese terms, only a guide to cover most judo circumstances. Generally, the names of techniques area derived
from verbs, which when changed into a noun undergo certain superficial
changes. In the glossary, therefore, the noun form is given, and then
in brackets, the verb form (which can be looked up in a dictionary),
for example - HARAI (v.HARAU) to sweep. |
